Cindy is the Manager, Clinical Services for humanworks. As an occupational therapist and senior rehabilitation consultant, Cindy has almost two decades of experience in disability case management and vocational rehabilitation working with a number of referral sources. Cindy provides clinical support to humanworksconsultants, as well as providing assessment and development of individualized treatment plans to individuals who have been injured in motor-vehicle collisions, suffered injury on the job or who have disabling health conditions with the aim to improve function and return to work. She also conducts ergonomic assessments, labour market analyses, transferable skills analyses, and is a group facilitator for “Living with Balance”, a six-week program focused on assisting teachers to improve vitality and resiliency through the British Columbia’s Teachers’ Federation contract.
Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia. She has extensive clinical experience in the fields of chronic pain, cardiac rehabilitation, and chronic disease management. She has training in Cognitive Behavioural therapy and facilitating stress management workshops. She is a current member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
In her personal life, Cindy enjoys playing volleyball and zumba fitness classes. She is an active parent volunteer at her three school-aged children’s school as well as other local community programs.
