Kristin is an occupational therapist and rehabilitation consultant for humanworks. She works with individuals who have experienced injury or illness and, through individualized assessment and development of customized treatment plans, which may include gradual return to work planning or ergonomic assessment, seeks to collaborate with her clients to improve function, minimize barriers, and assist with a safe and durable return to work.
She holds a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy, and a Bachelors Degree, with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. Since starting with humanworks in 2013, Kristin has worked with a variety of individuals, including individuals with mental health challenges, cancer, hearing and vocal difficulties, neurological challenges, including MS, concussion, peripheral neuropathy, as well as a variety of other conditions, including many orthopedic conditions and injuries. Kristin has a strong anatomy background and is passionate about her work with individuals who have experienced injury.
Kristin also worked as a kinesiologist for many years. In her work as a kinesiologist, she worked with a variety of individuals, including high-level athletes and individuals with neurological challenges, such as stroke, dementia, and spinal cord injury. She worked with the UBC Physiotherapy Department with individuals who had experienced stroke, and assisted with research occurring at GF Strong. She also ran her own small business working with individuals in a personal training capacity for over 10 years.
Kristin has been very active in the soccer community, previously serving as captain on her soccer team and coaching young, developing players for several years. She continues to be active and can often be found hiking the beautiful trails in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, or spending time with family.
