Wade is the vice president of humanworks, co-founder of humanworks press, and author of The Well Teacher. In addition to being an author and business owner, Wade is an occupational therapist and Certified Disability Management Professional who has dedicated over 20 years to working with teachers to help them minimize barriers and remain working in the classroom. Wade provided many years of clinical support to humanworksconsultants as Director of Clinical Services, and continues to provide the following services for humanworks clients: vocational rehabilitation case management and disability management, group facilitation, ergonomic assessment and job demands analysis, wellness planning, and home/lifestyle assessment.
Wade’s passion and commitment to the well-being of teachers compelled him to write The Well Teacher, a resource guide that empowers teachers to take greater control of their own wellness. He believes that with the information found in his book, teachers will have a better understanding of their own wellness, ultimately enabling them to thrive in the classroom.
With his business partner Jack MacNeill, Wade oversees and directs all humanworks and humanworks press initiatives. Wade leads the development of specialized products and services related to The Well Teacher, and his goal is to reach as many teachers as possible to help them remain well in their classrooms.
Wade graduated in 1995 from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Wade enjoys spending time outdoors, running on the local trails, climbing, and riding.
